We've created cosmetic quality assurance definitions, expectations and protocol to ensure quality requirements are met. Here is a list of our Cosmetic Standards:
These parts have color and quality attributes that are highly visible to the end user. No immediately observable flaws or blemishes exist beyond an 18” viewing perspective for a duration equivalent to approximately one second per square foot. Typical industries requiring this cosmetic class will include aerospace, medical, dental, high tech and consumer goods.
Parts are not in direct view of the consumer. Defects from coating manufacturing features may exist (i.e. weld spots, pems, studs, etc). Touch-ups are acceptable. Industries include military, industrial, marine and transportation.
Parts are only viewable during maintenance. Cosmetic appearance is not critical if coating has achieved 100% coverage with specified colors/materials. Industries include structural, vehicle undercarriage, shop racking and prime coats.
More details are available on the cosmetic standards. Please contact us to discuss your project specifications. |
